COMPETITION STATUTE

“CoderGames 2023”

This statute regulates the conditions and rules of the ". CoderGames 2023" competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition") and is the only and binding document governing this Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Statute").

This Competition is a promotional Competition, which serves the purpose as set out in Article 2 of this Statute, is not a game of chance within the meaning of Act no. 30/2019 Coll. on gambling and on amendments to certain acts, as amended.

  1. SUBJECT OF THE COMPETITION

The subject of the Competition is to correctly solve and submit the competition tasks in the shortest possible time, which will be gradually published on the website www.codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk. Competitors will receive points for the correct solution, the first 10 best will be rewarded with material prizes. At the same time, a winner of the daily prize will be drawn from among the correct answers every day. The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of computer coding and development, increase interest in these activities, and provide space to practice the skills among high school and university students.

  1. DATE OF THE COMPETITION

  1. The Competition will take place from 23.10.2023 to 28.10.2023
  2. It is possible to register for the Competition from 10.10.2023
  3. The Organizer will inform the Competitors via https://codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk/  about any changes to the rules of the Competition.

  1. PARTICIPANTS IN THE COMPETITION

  1. The participant of the competition must be a high school or university student (hereinafter the „Competitor“). No one from the organizing team can take part in the competition.

  1. The Competitor becomes a participation in the Competition by participating in the Competition in accordance with point 5. (Conditions of participation in the Competition) of this Statute.

  1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION

  1. The condition of the Competitor’s participation in the Competition is the prior acceptance of this Statute when registrating for the event on the website https://codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk/. By participation in the vote, an the Competitor accepts this Statute including Information on Personal Data Processing.

  1. Competitors may enter the Competition within the deadline specified in point 3 of this Statute.

  1. Contestants participate in the Contest by sending the correct answer to at least one task no later than 6:00 p.m. on 28 October 2023 via the website www.coderfest.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk .

  1. COURSE OF THE COMPETITION

The Organizer announces the Competition on www.codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk website, which will take place on 23.10. - 28.10. 2023, where one competition task will be published every day, which must be solved as soon as possible and the solution sent to the organizer via the site. You can unregister from the competition electronically by sending an email to FMB_Telekom_IT@t-systems.com.

  1. EVALUATION CRITERIA

  1. After the deadline for entry into the Competition and the submission of answers to the tasks, the winners will be determined from among the validly registered participants after counting the points they have collected during the Competition. The first five Competitors with the highest number of points win the first five prizes (Article 8).
  2. For each correct answer sent during the Competition via the page www.coderfest.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk,  the competitors will receive 1 point, while each subsequent day the scoring will increase by 1 point compared to the previous day (i.e. 1st day - 1 point, 2nd day- 2 points, 3rd day- 3 points, 4th day – 4 points, 5th day – 5 points). The first five fastest contestants will also score additional points, each day with the same number of points - 1st fastest - 5 points, 2nd fastest - 4 points, 3rd fastest - 3 points, 4th fastest – 2 points, 5th fastest – 1 point.
  3. Of all the correct answers for each day, one Competitor will be drawn the next day to win the daily prize (Article 8) via an online random generator application (e.g. https://wheelofnames.com/). The draw for the last daily prize and the announcement of the winners of the first to tenth place will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023 until 9 pm. The names of all winners will be gradually published on the site www.codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk.
  4. The announcement of the winners of the Competition will be published on the Facebook account of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia and also on the website www.codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk.

  1. PRIZE

  1. Each Competitor can win several prizes. The winner will also be directly contacted by the Organiser via contacts provided within registration. If the winner does not respond to the announcement of the prize within14 days and does not show interest in taking over the prize, he / she loses the right for the prize. In this case, the Organiser will select the next Competitor in order with the highest number of points. The winner has no legal right to exchange the prize, nor to the payment of its value in money.

  1. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

  1. Information on the processing of the Competitor´s personal data is a part of a separate document and is available to the Competitor before registering for the event and entering the Competition at https://codergames.deutschetelekomitsolutions.sk/

  1. By publishing the information referred to in point 1 of this article, the Organizer fulfills the information obligation in accordance with Art. 13 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/ES (hereinafter as the "GDPR") against the Competitor as data subject.

  1. TAXES

  1. The Organizer will not be responsible for taxes resulting from the prize according to the relevant law no. 595/2003 Coll. on income tax, as amended.
  2. Winners are not legally entitled to a refund of the prize or to the payment of is value in the form of cash or other compensation.
  3. The value of the prize is not obliged to taxation.

  1. SPECIAL PROVISIONS

  1. The Organizer will not reimburse the Competitors for any costs incurred in connection with their participation in the Competition or obtaining a prize.
  2. The Competitor has no legal right to win.
  3. By participating in the Competition, all Competitors express their consent to the conditions of the Competition according to this Statute.
  4. The Organizer is entitled to exclude from the Competition Competitors who violate the provisions of this Statute or will act in violation of good morals.
  5. The Organizer reserves the right to unilaterally change or modify the Statute and publish it in the same way as the Competition was announced. The Organizer reserves the right to change the rules of the Competition, as well as the right to shorten, postpone, interrupt, prematurely terminate or cancel the Competition at any time during the Competition. In the event of any change or modification of the Statute, the rules of the Competition or other conditions fo the Competition, with which the Competitor does not agree, he/she has the right to withdraw from the Competition.
  6. In case of disputes or ambiguities concerning the Competition, its rules or any claims in connection with participation in the Competition, the decisive and final opinion of the Organizer is always, with which the Competitors unconditionally agree.
  7. This Statute is prepared in Slovak-English version. In case of any conflict between the Slovak and English version of this Statute, the Slovak language version shall prevail.
